Ladies Night Delivers First-Class Interactive Experience to CGRFS Fans
CONCORD, N.C. (October 12, 2006) Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) kicked off its 2007 edition of "Race Week" earlier this week at the team's 183,000 square foot facility in Concord, N.C., hosting its first-ever "Ladies Night".
Sakiya Daniel, Sr. Account Manager - Texaco/Havoline, Lisa Heroes - Co-President TrackCouture and Becky Sorenson - mother of the No. 41 Target Dodge pilot Reed Sorenson, were the featured guest speakers. Topics ranged from being a professional woman working in NASCAR, to raising a race car driver, to the hottest ladies fashions to wear at the track, and starting your own business.
Guests were engaged and asked questions about career paths, finding time for family while traveling every weekend, and how scary is it to watch your son race. The intimate group was also treated to a behind-the-scenes shop tour, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and shopped the brand new line of TrackCouture ladies wear for the 40, 41 and 42 teams.
"We were very pleased with the turnout and the positive feedback from our fans," said Carol Wiese, manager of CGRFS Merchandising and Licensing. "We understand that through creative partnerships such as the one we established with TrackCouture we can reinforce our commitment to delivering value back to our sponsors and also provide a first-class interactive experience for our fans. What is most exciting is that we are just scratching the surface of the opportunity that exists."
Stay tuned for more events throughout Race Week, including autograph sessions with Reed Sorenson, David Stremme, Casey Mears and Target IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon, in addition to special CGRFS gift shop offers.
