Sept 2/2007/ JPM Finishes 33rd at Fontana. Juan Pablo Montoya had yet another difficult day starting from the back of the field after his engine gave up in qualifying. On the first caution of the day he pitted and as he was approaching his pit stall, Carl Edwards left his and the Colombian had nowhere to go. In the impact, his No. 42 Ganassi Dodge sustained considerable front-end damage. His team tried to fix it as much as possible during the race, but their efforts were in vain as Montoya dropped a lap down. He then had further trouble in his last stop under green when the engine on his car stopped running and didn't want to fire up again.
